Thinking Out Loud: My Week in Pictures

Thinking-Out-Loud2

Friends! It has been a super long time since I linked up with Running With Spoons for Thinking Out Loud Thursdays and I have missed it! This is one of my favorite link-ups because it can be totally random and sometimes I need random!

This week, I’m showcasing my week (or maybe my September) with photographs. Enjoy!

image new haircut!

I got my hair cut at the beginning of the month. I adored my long hair, but this summer I was pretty hard on it and did not get regular trims and it was starting to look pretty tacky, so to bring it back to healthy — I chopped it off!  The short hair has been fine since I’m not working, but when I go to fix it, I really miss the ease of my long hair. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I have been second guessing not going shorter. I mean if I’m going to go for a major change, why not go for it?! What do you think? Leave it or go a bit shorter?

As most of you know, we relocated this summer and now we live in an awesome old house in the country. We have been super busy with renovations, but did manage to take some time this past weekend to try out our “new” makeshift fire pit at our little pond. It was super fun! We made s’mores, did a little fishing (saw a super gross spider — see below), and played a hide and seek game in the dark under a full moon. We made some great memories!

This picture does not do justice to the amazing sunrises that we have been having lately. This one was taken the morning after the eclipse. Did you all see the eclipse of the super moon? AWE-SOME!

Yes — super gross! For those of you that are fascinated by all things nature and spider-y, this spider was a mamma spider and had hundreds (seemed like thousands) of tiny baby spiders all over her body. When I tapped the camping chair to get her off, they fled and It. Was. Aweful. I cannot believe that I did not wet my pants. I am super afraid of spiders, though living in the country I am getting braver, but EEEEK!

Ahhh, National Coffee Day….need I say more? Oh, ps: I have been enjoying cereal with milk in the mornings, which I haven’t done in forever! This is Raisin Bran Crunch with skim – delish!

Coke ZeroThis was meant to be. I opened the cooler at the supermarket and there was my name so I had to have it! Those Coca Cola marketers are just pure Genius with a capital G!

I’ll end with this. I saw this super cute wood sign at our Hobby Lobby that recently opened. I purchased a canvas and plan to make one similar. I love this saying, “Make it Happen”. You can sit by and complain about all the things you aren’t happy with — or you can make a change and make things happen!

Happy Thursday! Happy October! Make it a great one!

Until Next Time,
Meg

    • I think I’m going to call a bug-guy to come and spray. We have so many spiders and I fear it will just get worse with the weather getting colder. I’m getting better at killing them myself instead of having to yell for my husband, but eew!

    • Haha! I totally freaked out. I’m amazed I even got a picture! My husband tried to get me to put my hand close for a size reference — NO WAY!

  1. Thank you for reminding me that I seriously need to do something with my hair. I can;t even tell you how many times I’ve thought about doing something drastic and chopping it all off, but it’s those awkward in-between regrowth stages that keep me from doing it. Well, that and the fact that my hair is my security blanket and twirling it is one of the things I do when I’m feeling anxious 😆

  2. OMG that spider!! I can’t even believe you got such a close up picture. I would definitely have screamed. Last night I was on the phone with my parents and suddenly a bug was behind me on the rug and I made a little squeak and then proceeded to chase the bug with the vacuum until I got him. My parents enjoyed the laugh as they were imagining all of this…

    • Haha, this made me laugh out loud! I can’t believe I got the picture either. I really am super afraid of spiders (the super zoom on my iPhone helped too)!
